FAQ
What is Nysta?
Nysta is an app that matches your yarn stash with patterns. You add your yarn, and we find patterns you can knit, plus alternatives if you're missing something. We evaluate fiber, spinning, construction, and gauge so substitutes actually work.
What can I knit with my leftover yarn?
Nysta shows you. You add your yarn, and we find the patterns you can knit with the yarn and leftovers you already have. If you have several leftovers, we suggest combinations that work together, and we work out whether you have enough yarn for a given pattern.
How do I find out if I have enough yarn for a specific pattern?
You choose the pattern, and Nysta reads its yarn requirement and checks it against your stash. We show what you already have, what you are missing, and which yarns from your own stash or well-known yarn lines can be used as alternatives.
What can I substitute a yarn with?
Nysta finds similar yarns and shows how well they match. We assess gauge, fibre, spinning and construction, so a substitute actually works in your project, and we explain the differences so you know what you are getting.
What does it cost?
199 DKK per year. You can try it free for 7 days before you decide. We send a reminder 2 days before the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime.
Which yarns and patterns do you cover?
Every yarn and pattern on Ravelry. If yours is missing, you can add it yourself.
When do you go live?
We're launching in summer 2026. Sign up and you'll be notified when we go live.
